Over the Desert

As a Birthday gift from my friends, I went power paragliding over the Arizona desert.

Strapped into a light-weight cart or “trike,” the pilot turned on the motor which provides enough thrust to take off from level ground. Once we reached the right elevation, he turned off the motor and the parachute took over.

It was amazing to float in the air and glide off the rising air coming off the mountains. Although I had mentioned wanting to try this, it was such a surprise to be given such an extravagant gift. Very fun to have everyone come out to watch as well!
